Family Ministry

Family Ministry Vision:  We desire to partner with families to help them build a foundation of faith in their children.

At House of Prayer our Family Ministry serves children, infants through 5th grade, on the second floor of our building with volunteers who are there to help each child draw close to God.

We Believe:

  • Parents are the primary disciple-makers, and we are honored to come alongside as a source of support and encouragement in your child’s faith journey.

  • There is no junior Holy Spirit; children are dear to God’s heart, and He speaks to them right where they are.

  • Children don’t have to wait to grow up to hear from the Lord or be a part of the Body of Christ; they already are!

Kingdom Kids takes place on Sunday mornings. Children stay with their parents for family worship at 10am in the sanctuary and are dismissed to their classes when worship time is done. They will follow the volunteer teachers through the west door labeled “KIDS” to make their way to the classrooms on the second floor. Nursery is available on the second floor throughout the service.

Kids Connect takes place on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:00pm. Children will check in at the check-in station and then go upstairs to the classrooms with volunteer teachers. Pre-k and nursery-aged children are together in one class on Wednesdays, which is only available to parents participating in a Life Group or volunteering in a ministry.

Joining us for the First Time?

When you enter our foyer, you will find the Check-in Station to the left of the Welcome Desk. There, a volunteer will meet your family and help guide you through checking your child into our secure system.

Through the check-in process we will ask you for the following personal information (Please note that we respect your privacy and will not share your information with others):

  • Parent/Guardian name(s)

  • Child’s name & birthdate

  • Home address & phone number

  • Parent’s email address

  • Any special instructions (allergies or special needs)

Upon check-in you will receive a name sticker to be placed on your child where it’s visible to the teachers and a matching security sticker for the parent/guardian to keep. These stickers are specific to your family and the date and time of your visit. Parents/guardians will be required to show teachers their security sticker when picking up children after service.
